Dr. KV received his medical degree MBBS and MD anesthesia training in India.  After coming to USA in 1987, he completed Research Fellowship in Obstetric Anesthesia and pain management and evolving ‘painless labor’ technologies at the time. He completed an Anesthesia Residency in Anesthesiology, at Loyola University Medical Center, Chicago, IL in 1993. 

He later completed a Fellowship in Pain Management at University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio, Texas. He is Board Certified in Anesthesiology and double board Certified Interventional Pain Management with the American Board of Anesthesiology and American Board of Pain Medicine.

He is also certified by the American Academy of Medical Acupuncture in Medical Acupuncture. He is a “Certified Ayurvedic Practitioner” awarded by NAMA (National Ayurvedic Medical Association, USA) He is passionate to create intelligent integration of  principles of complementary and Alternative medical technologies with modern medicine by executable personalized medicine and wellness protocols which are safe treatments, without side effects, effective outcomes, without complications.  

He has served as Medical Director of Pain Center at Wishard Hospital affiliate of Indiana University Medical Center and later served as Pain Medicine faculty at the University of Iowa, Carver School of Medicine, and founded the IPARCOA (Integrative Pain and Age Rejuvenation Centers of America).
